Behind the Name
Dzukou comes from the Angami word meaning “cold water,” referring to the harsh, windswept Dzukou Valley in Northeast India — once considered uninhabitable — now famed for its rare seasonal lilies and woven into Naga folklore as a land of resilience and quiet beauty.
A future we are building
Dzukou began with planet-friendly everyday products. But our curiosity about materials and design keeps growing. Our next chapter is fully experimental and will explore experimental fabrics and responsible clothing.
Experiential materials start natural.
Co-experimentation with makers to stimulate their creativity.
